My Story
Jon Kurz is an accomplished Solutions Architect with over two decades of experience leading teams and projects across diverse industries, including energy, finance, and technology. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Manchester College, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science focusing on Artificial Intelligence from DePaul University. Jon also studied in China to learn language, history and art, and taught English to Chinese college students.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jon is passionate about mentoring the next generation of innovators. As a robotics instructor for 4H SPIN Club and the “I Build Robots” summer camp, he has inspired young minds to explore the intersection of technology and creativity. His commitment to education extends to his own pursuits, having contributed to publications on artificial intelligence and human-level adaptation. Jon also leverages his multilingual proficiency in Mandarin to foster collaboration and cross-cultural understanding.
In his latest endeavors, Jon has completed a Scientist-Astronaut training program with the International Institute of Astronautical Sciences (IIAS), and is currently studying bioastronautics at IIAS. His interests blend his lifelong passion for space exploration with his technical expertise and love of language and cultures.
